Bombay Funkadelic is London's original retro Bollywood, funk and disco themed club night.
Running since 2005, we pride ourselves on the eclectic mix of party goers we attract with our electric music and atmosphere.
Bombay Funkadelic is the brainchild of Jas Pandohar, a London based writer, filmmaker and events organiser. Fed up with the usual Bollywood club nights where modern film songs and bhangra typically rule the dancefloor, she decided to inject some retro flavour into the UK's Bollywood party scene along with DJ Danny and DJ Shai Guy.
Fans of yesteryear Bollywood films in which butch heroes romance buxom heroines to the sound of sexy sitar riffs and soaring strings, together they aim to entertain fans of Bollywood and western funk with their inspired (sometimes kitsch) choice of soundtracks.
R D Burman, Bappi Lahiri, Asha Bhosle, Mohammed Rafi, Nazia Hussain and Sharon Prabakar are just some of the artistes you'll hear along side James Brown, The Jacksons, Earth, Wind and Fire, Isaac Hayes and other funky sorts.
Not to deny space to modern masters, the likes of A R Rahman, MIA and Atif Aslam also get a look in.
